Thank you for being here! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York and Ohio. I am a first generation Dominican/Puerto Rican American located in the tri-state area. I received my Master's from UAlbany (Go Danes!) and have been practicing for 4 years. I love to help individuals and couples learn skills they might not have known or been aware of. I use a mix of CBT, DBT, person centered and mindfulness to understand you and help you understand yourself.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In our first session together, about 15-20 minutes is spent on introductions, going over intake paperwork, and creating a treatment plan. The rest of the session is spent listening to you, asking questions, getting to know more about what is currently on your mind. We'll close out by summarizing what we spoke about in session, if there is anything that was left out, and what we can continue speaking about in the next session.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
My greatest strengths are my empathy, flexibility, and observation skills.
