Hello! I am a Bilingual licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) based in Texas. I received my master's from the University of Texas- Arlington and have been practicing for four years. I help adults struggling with anxiety, depression, and stress manage their symptoms and navigate life. By providing a new perspective and helping them gain insight, I facilitate meaningful change. I've worked with a variety of diagnoses and enjoy the process of helping clients achieve their goals and become the best version of themselves.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In your first session with me, you can expect a welcoming and confidential environment where we'll start by introducing ourselves and discussing your expectations for therapy. We'll explore what has brought you to therapy and the changes you would like to see in your life. You'll have the opportunity to describe the issues or challenges you're facing, and together, we'll identify specific goals that we'll work towards during our time together. This session is also a chance for us to begin building a therapeutic relationship based on trust and collaboration, setting the foundation for our work ahead.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a provider, I believe my greatest strengths lie in my ability to actively listen and empathize with clients, creating a safe and non-judgmental space where they can openly express themselves. I am skilled at building rapport and establishing trust, which is crucial for effective therapy. Additionally, my bilingual fluency in Spanish enables me to cater to a diverse range of clients, ensuring cultural sensitivity and inclusivity in therapy sessions. I am passionate about helping clients achieve their goals and navigate life's challenges with resilience and empowerment.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Over the past four years, I have extensively used Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients with a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and bipolar disorder, stress among other disorders. My practice is centered around using evidence-based techniques to provide individualized and effective treatment for each client.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

With my experience in Mindfulness-Based Therapy (MBT), I integrate mindfulness techniques to help clients manage different disorders and life stressors. I use practices such as mindfulness meditation, body scans, mindful breathing, and self-compassion exercises to enhance self-awareness and emotional regulation. Tailoring interventions like MBCT and trauma-sensitive mindfulness to each client's needs, I also emphasize establishing routines and mindful decision-making. Staying updated with the latest research and engaging in peer support and supervision, I ensure my methods are effective and personalized, promoting overall mental well-being.

Strength-Based

In my practice, I focus on identifying and leveraging clients' inherent strengths to help them manage their symptoms. By emphasizing their resilience, past successes, and existing coping strategies, I empower clients to build confidence and self-efficacy. Techniques include positive affirmations, goal setting, narrative therapy, and engaging support systems, all aimed at fostering a sense of hope and promoting overall mental well-being. This approach helps clients see themselves as capable and resourceful, enhancing their ability to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

With my experience in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), I help clients quickly identify and build on their existing strengths and resources to address specific problems. This goal-oriented approach emphasizes finding immediate, practical solutions by focusing on what works rather than what doesn’t. Techniques include setting clear, achievable goals, exploring past successes, and envisioning a preferred future. By highlighting clients' abilities and fostering a positive outlook, SFBT empowers them to make rapid and meaningful changes, enhancing their overall well-being and resilience.
