Hello, I am a licensed clinical social worker, Doula and Lactation educator. I am also a mother of three children. I wanted to be a "baby doctor" ever since I can remember so becoming a Doula has fulfilled that part of my passion and be able to continue to play my part as a healer.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session is a getting to know you better session so I will definitely ask you to tell me about yourself (current living situation, employment/career, Family history, familial relationships, trauma history (w/out going into detail unless you are ready to) and current symptoms and behaviors. In addition, I will ask you about your morning and bedtime routines and work life balance as this may help with identifying homework. By the end of our first session, you can expect to leave with Homework (one way you plan to show up for yourself either after our session or before our next session.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a therapist my greatest strength is being able to be my down to earth self. I show up exactly how I am naturally. Some say it feels like talking to a close friend. I take pride in being personable and relatable.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I enjoy working with people who are ready to do the work. Therapy is not about "talking" alone. It involves active participation. I am just a guide you have to do the work. I am not a miracle worker, and I cannot prescribe a magic pill of any sort. I can, however, help you find the joy amongst the chaos. I can assist you with being intentional about identifying the glimmers. I can hold your hand as you walk through the fire so you don't have to do it alone.
