I am a new solo mother, private practice owner, and licensed clinical social worker – certified (LCSW-C), with more than 20 years of experience in the Mental Health Field working with a variety of mental and emotional issues such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, anger and stress management, childhood/adolescent developmental stressors, and life transitional stages. Life and soul work is a difficult but rewarding process that should be experienced in a safe, loving, and understanding environment. Life can be remarkable, but it can also be difficult in some obvious ways or in subtle ways that sometimes sneak up on us, causing us to go through life merely surviving or struggling, often feeling alone. As a holder of your pain, your hope, and your light, let me stand by your side and empower you to face obstacles and challenges. Let us go beyond surviving this life, but healing our hearts and mind so we can love and enjoy the moments we have right now.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session you can expect to feel listened to and know that I am interested in learning about who you are and what you are experiencing. I am genuienly curious about what you are experiencing and how I can give you something to take home to help you each time we meet. We will talk a lot and you should feel safe to vent and " dump" whatever you hve been holding on to as we build rapport.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Often, I find that my clients and I are connecting on a very real and natural peer-to-peer level. Though I “sit in the therapist chair,” my approach does not give that feeling. You and I are walking in the healing process together, exchanging of stories and experiences, utilizing those experiences to make therapy more practical and applicable in real time. Aspects of therapy can be perceived as “too deep” and “Wishy washy” for some, however, with a peer-to-peer approach that I use, we can overcome that perception and truly give mental health the attention that it deserves.
