New to Grow
Hi, I’m Karina Aspillaga, a bilingual Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in Florida. I have over five years of experience supporting individuals of all ages through life’s challenges. My work has focused on helping clients heal from trauma and PTSD, manage anxiety, strengthen self-esteem, and navigate relationship difficulties. In addition to my private practice, I also work in a school setting, where I have developed expertise in supporting adolescents, teens, and young adults. At the core of my practice is the belief that therapy should provide a safe, supportive space where you can face obstacles, build resilience, and discover your inner strength. My goal is to empower you to make confident decisions and create a more balanced, fulfilling life.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Your first session is all about getting comfortable and starting the conversation. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, what you’d like to work on, and any questions you may have about the process. I’ll listen carefully and help us create a plan that feels right for you. Most importantly, you’ll have a safe space to share your story at your own pace.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
What sets my approach apart is my focus on helping clients become active participants in their own growth. I guide individuals to recognize and build on their strengths while exploring new perspectives that support lasting change. I believe that change, while sometimes uncomfortable, can open the door to resilience, confidence, and a more fulfilling life. My role is to provide both support and direction, empowering you to take meaningful steps toward the life you want.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I am best positioned to support adolescents, young adults, and adults who are navigating challenges such as trauma, PTSD, anxiety, self-esteem concerns, and relationship difficulties. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain about their next steps in life. Whether you are looking to heal from past experiences, manage ongoing stress, or build confidence in decision-making, my role is to provide a safe and supportive space where you can process your experiences, develop coping strategies, and reconnect with your strengths and values. I especially enjoy working with individuals who are motivated to better understand themselves and are seeking both practical tools and deeper self-awareness to create lasting change.
