Hello there! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) currently practicing in North Carolina. I obtained my degree from Fordham University in 2020 and have been practicing for four years now. Originally from Michigan, I moved to North Carolina in 2019 to enjoy the sunny weather. I am a proud owner of two adorable dogs - Teddy, a Newfoundland and Franklin, a Bernese Mountain Dog. Franklin works as a service animal, while Teddy provides emotional support. I absolutely love bringing them to work with me as they offer a unique kind of support that only animals can provide.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first therapy session, we will discuss important topics such as confidentiality, my role as a mandated reporter, and consent to treatment. We will go over the intake forms that you filled out, your expectations for therapy, and the goals you want to achieve. I understand that it might feel strange to talk about personal and sometimes life-changing events with a stranger. But I want to assure you that I will never force you to talk about things you are not comfortable with. Also, if you feel like we are not making progress or you want to change our goals, that’s perfectly fine. My only aim is to support you throughout the process, and ultimately, help you overcome your challenges. In fact, my ultimate goal is for you to feel confident enough to end our sessions when you feel ready!

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

If you're feeling uncertain about your identity or questioning if you're living up to your full potential, it may be time for a change. I approach personal development from a person-centered perspective, helping you to recognize and appreciate the progress you've already made. Let's start your journey towards achieving your goals and realizing your true potential today.

My treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

It's natural to encounter issues in your past, present, or future. However, instead of dwelling on the cause of the problem, why not shift your focus on finding a solution that works for you? We all possess the necessary tools to overcome any challenge, all we need to do is identify them, refine them, and put them to effective use. With a positive mindset and a proactive approach, we can successfully tackle any obstacle that comes our way.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

ERP is an effective tool to help work through and overcome obssesvie thoughts and compulsions that are not making your life better. With ERP we are jumping right into the fire so you can get back to living!

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I will help you become present in all aspects of your life with mindfulness.

Positive Psychology

I utilize positive psychology as a tool to assist you in identifying your strengths and discovering ways in which you can use them. This is not your typical "look on the bright side" or "focus on the positive" type of therapy. Rather, it involves cultivating a profound gratitude for all aspects of life and learning a deep appreciation for all things.

Brainspotting

Experiencing trauma is already shitty enough, and having a memory that feels like it's happening again is terrible. Brainspotting gives you the ability to put that memory back where it belongs in the past so you can continue healing.
