Welcome! I'm Jamie Salas LPC I strive to create a safe and welcoming environment that allows clients to explore obstacles with concerns related to anxiety, depression, and/or self-care. I focus on helping clients develop assertive communication & boundaries with themselves and those around them that can help improve their quality of life. Counseling can foster personal development in whatever way you may be seeking and help build the life you so deeply deserve. If that's what you're looking for, I'm here when you're ready to share.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked in trauma background treatment for the past 5 years, I have experience developed a tried-and-true playbook for helping you (a) identify the root cause of your challenges and (b) create a tailored plan that leads to measurable progress.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT has helped dozens of clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

SFBT focuses on the following: Self-development, Growth, Responsibility, Building solutions, and Potential and desired future behaviors. The goal of SFBT is to find and implement a solution to the problem or problems as soon as possible. This can help minimize time spent in therapy and time spent struggling or suffering. SFBT uses a series of structured conversations between the therapist and the client, known as dialogic techniques. These techniques include: goal-setting, the miracle question, exception-seeking, scaling questions, future focus, compliments, and coping questions.

Trauma Informed Care

Trauma-informed therapy considers the complex impact of trauma on an individual's well-being and how it shapes a person's ability to cope. Unlike traditional therapy, trauma-informed treatment integrates an awareness of trauma into every aspect of treatment while making safety a priority for clients.
