About me

I am a licensed clinician in Florida with four years of professional experience providing compassionate, client-centered care. I have supported individuals facing a wide range of challenges, including stress, anxiety, depression, substance use, anger management, trauma, abuse, relationship difficulties, and family conflicts. My clinical practice encompasses working with individuals, couples, families, children, adolescents, polyamory, and LGBTQ+. When requested, I am able to incorporate a Christian counseling framework to align with clients’ faith and values. I am committed to fostering an inclusive, safe, and open environment where clients can share their thoughts and emotions without fear of judgment. Creating a safe, inclusive, and nonjudgmental environment is central to my approach. I strive to empower clients to openly share their thoughts and emotions, fostering trust and growth. I deeply respect the courage it takes to pursue a more fulfilling and balanced life and to take those initial steps toward meaningful change. My goal is to support and guide you through your journey, helping bridge the path from crisis to stability and overall well-being.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first therapy session is an important opportunity to get to know your therapist and begin building a trusting relationship. During this initial meeting, you can expect to talk about what brought you to therapy, share some background about your life, and discuss any challenges or goals you want to work on. The therapist will ask questions to better understand your situation, listen carefully to your concerns, and explain how therapy works, including confidentiality and what you can expect from future sessions. This session is also a chance for you to ask questions and see if you feel comfortable with the therapist’s style and approach. While it can feel a little nerve-wracking to open up at first, the initial session is meant to be a supportive and welcoming space to start your journey toward healing and growth.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring an empathetic, patient, and direct approach to working with clients. I specialize in supporting clients navigating mental health, trauma, substance use, relationship challenges, family dynamics, and life transitions. My practice is rooted in a strengths-based and cognitive behavioral framework, helping clients identify what’s working, build on their resilience, and develop practical tools for lasting change. I strive to create a nonjudgmental, supportive space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered. With a blend of empathy, honesty, and a healthy dose of humor, I meet clients where they are and help them move toward greater self-awareness, healthier coping strategies, and improved emotional well-being. Whether we’re building self-care routines, improving communication, or processing difficult experiences, my goal is to help you tap into your inner strengths and create meaningful, sustainable progress.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Starting therapy can feel overwhelming — especially if you're unsure what to expect, worried about being judged, or questioning whether it will really help. I understand that opening up takes courage, and I’m here to meet you with a helping hand. My approach is down-to-earth, supportive, and focused on what actually works for you in real life — not just in theory. Clients often tell me they appreciate that I’m easy to talk to, direct when needed, and able to bring warmth into the process. I focus on helping you build real skills — whether it’s coping with stress, healing from past trauma, navigating relationships, or supporting your family through a tough time. You don’t have to have everything figured out — you just have to be willing to take the first step, and we’ll go from there together.

My treatment methods

Christian Counseling

I found that sometimes our spiritual well-being often intertwines with our mental health. With individuals strongly rooted in faith, a faith-based approach to mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being that integrates psychological principles with Biblical truths can greatly impact our life in a positive way. With individuals requesting faith-based counseling, we address personal struggles, relational issues, trauma, and spiritual challenges through the lens of Scripture and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Some techniques we may use, in addition to traditional talk therapy, we can include prayer, Scripture reflection, and cognitive-behavioral tools.

Couples Counseling

I have worked often with couples, navigating challenges, strengthening their relationship, and building healthier communication patterns. Whether facing ongoing conflict, emotional distance, infidelity, or major life transitions, couples counseling provides a safe space for both individuals to express their feelings, understand each other more deeply, and work collaboratively toward resolution. I believe it can be helpful as a way of reminding couples of their love, exploring the dynamics of their relationship, identifying harmful patterns, and developing practical tools for conflict resolution, emotional connection, and mutual respect. The goal is not only to address immediate issues but also to foster long-term intimacy, trust, and resilience. I've counseled couples from all walks of life, including married couples, dating couples, polyamorous couples, and LGBTQ+ couples.

Family Therapy

I have worked often with families, focusing on improving communication, resolving conflict, family dynamics, and strengthening the relationships within a family unit. It provides a safe and structured environment where each family member can share their perspective, feel heard, and work together toward healthier dynamics. Whether dealing with parenting challenges, sibling conflict, blended family transitions, grief, trauma, or behavioral concerns, family counseling helps identify patterns that may be causing tension and guides families toward more effective interaction and understanding. We work together collaboratively with all members to promote empathy, restore trust, and develop practical strategies for navigating challenges together. The goal of family counseling is not to assign blame, but to foster unity, respect, and lasting emotional connection among family members.

Strength-Based

I believe Strengths-Based counseling is a positive and empowering approach to counseling that focuses on identifying and building upon an individual’s existing strengths, resources, and potential. Rather than centering on problems or deficits, I like to focus on encouraging my clients to recognize what they do well, how they've overcome challenges in the past, and how these inner resources can be used to navigate current struggles. Every individual has inherent strengths, resilience, and the capacity for growth, I believe this approach fosters confidence, motivation, and a sense of hope. We work, the client and I, collaboratively to reframe challenges, set meaningful goals, and cultivate a more positive and empowering narrative about their lives. Strengths-Based Therapy can be beneficial for individuals, couples, and families—especially those feeling stuck, discouraged, or overwhelmed—by helping them shift from a problem-focused mindset to one grounded in possibility and progress.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

I have experience in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to address obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), phobias, and other anxiety-related conditions. It is a highly effective, evidence-based form of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) specifically designed to assist individuals in confronting distressing thoughts, images, or situations (exposures) while resisting the urge to engage in compulsive behaviors or avoidance (response prevention). Rather than trying to eliminate unwanted thoughts or fears, ERP teaches clients to face them gradually and safely—building tolerance to anxiety and breaking the cycle of obsession and compulsion. Over time, this process reduces the intensity of fear and restores peace and freedom, while accepting what is and what is not within our control. Together we develop a personalized and structured plan that empowers the client to challenge their fears at a manageable pace, promoting long-term healing and resilience.
