I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Connecticut with over 25 years of clinical experience. I have an eclectic background working in residential treatment facilities, psychiatric hospital settings and private practices. I believe everyone has their own special path to wellness and many struggle to find that path. I will assist you to, manage your negative emotions, increase your self esteem, challenge and re frame your unhelpful thoughts and find your own way to a better life. Therapy can be a great way to connect with someone who has your best interest in mind, who is there just for you. I will talk openly open mental health issues because so many people are managing them in one way or another. You are far from alone with your issues so understand that there is a way to work on them in a comfortable setting.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

You can expect a fairly up front conversation about who you are, what you struggle with, what your strengths are and what you would lime to achieve in counseling. You will meet a therapist in me that will try different ways to make a connection with you. You can expect to share at your own pace, to make goals at your own pace and to talk with a professional who has made it his life's work to assist others to improve the quality of their life and relationships.

I try not to complicate things too much. I have learned the theories and best practices in the field of mental health counseling. However, theory does not improve lives. I have learned how to create a safe comfortable environment for you to talk as well as work on the goals of objectives of your choice. We will work together to improve your mental health, talk about your issues, improve your wellness and become more aware of your emotional self.
