Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) based in California. I received my Masters Degree from California State University, Sacramento and have been practicing for 10 years. I’m offering individuals, families and couples a safe place to share your thoughts, feelings and hopes without any judgment. I provide therapy using various treatment methods to help with issues related to individual growth, relationships, life transitions, grief, loss, anxiety, depression, self-harm, trauma, abuse, codependency, anger, low self-esteem and parenting.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with introductions. I will spend time helping you feel safe, welcome and supported. We will look at what brought you to therapy and the specific challenges you're facing. This will help us create a plan and goal(s) for us to work on in the following sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths as a provider are that I am authentic, accepting, non-judgmental, culturally competent, empathetic, compassionate, respectful, a good listener, and show genuine interest in my clients.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with clients who are new to talk therapy. I love working with clients who speak Spanish and/or are bilingual. I love working with young adults(high school and college age.) I love working with people from diverse cultures and experiences. I love working with women who are learning how to grow as individuals and become empowered(young adults-elderly.)

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have been using Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) as a treatment method for 10 years. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a powerful tool that helps clients identify and challenge their negative thought patterns and beliefs. By guiding clients to recognize the connections between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, I empower them to develop healthier coping strategies and behaviors that promote overall well-being.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I have been using Mindfulness-Based Therapy for 10 years as a treatment method. Mindfulness-Based Therapy is an approach that integrates mindfulness practices, such as meditation and awareness techniques to help clients develop a more mindful approach to life, enabling them to cope with challenges and promote personal growth and healing.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

I have worked with a diverse cultural and language community for over 25 years. I have provided therapy for individuals, couples and families from a diverse language and cultural background for 10 years. In my practice as a licensed therapist, I work to create a safe and respectful environment where clients can feel seen, understood and supported.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I have been using Person-Centered therapy as a treatment method for 10 years. I provide clients a therapeutic environment that includes unconditional positive regard, empathy, congruence and the belief that individuals have the capacity for self-actualization. My role is to create a supportive and nurturing environment for clients to explore their own experiences and achieve their full potential. This treatment method helps clients develop coping skills, problem solving skills and improves their interpersonal relationships.
