LCSW, 6 years of experience
New to Grow
Hello, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of California. I obtained my Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from California Baptist University. I have been working in social services/mental health field since 2016. I have worked with nonprofits, governmental organizations and acute care medical facilities. I have extensive experience providing services to medically fragile individuals, their families and older adults. As a therapist I strive to provide a safe space where my patients can obtain services with compassion, empathy and leave sessions feelings empowered. I believe that therapy is a collaborative journey and looks different for everyone depending on the individual. My interventions and modalities will be tailored to fit your unique needs. I enjoy working alongside clients to set specific, measurable goals, to build rapport and trust but also to monitor and celebrate both short-term and long term therapy goals. My areas of speciality include anxiety disorders, work/school stress, life transitions, self-esteem and chronic medical conditions/severe medical diagnosis, poor medical prognosis and adjustment disorders. I understand the importance of being able to communicate your feelings with ease and how speaking with a provider in your native/cultural language can be an important part of healing and I am more then happy to offer therapy in Spanish for any client who would benefit from it. *** PLEASE NOTE*** I am unable to assist with paperwork; including disability forms, court documents, school documents etc.
During our first session we will spend time getting to know each other in a comfortable, relaxed and empathetic environment where you feel heard, understood and accepted. One of the most important things for me is for you to feel safe, above all. If you feel comfortable I will then be asking you questions about the issues you are facing and together we will create a plan for our future sessions.
I strive to create an environment rooted in warmth safety, compassion, collaboration allowing clients to feel genuinely heard and supported. I focus on building a strong therapeutic alliance - one grounded in mutual respect. As a bilingual clinical therapist I also have the ability to connect authentically with clients across both linguist and cultural lines. Being fluent in two languages allows me to provide therapy in the language in which the clients feel most emotionally expressive and understood. This enhances trust, emotional depth, and engagement in the therapeutic process and foster holistic healing.
I am specialized in working with are adults and or older adults dealing with life transitions, severe medical diagnosis, poor medical prognosis, anxiety disorders and work and school life stressors.
I often utilize CBT to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to emotional distress and maladaptive behaviors. Through structured sessions, I guide clients in recognizing the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and support them in developing healthier cognitive and behavioral responses.
