Hi, My name is Nadine George and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York. In my therapeutic approach, I maintain a client-centered, open-minded and solution-focused perspective, emphasizing a collaborative approach to managing stressors and symptoms. I am committed to guiding individuals through challenges, improving communication, developing effective coping strategies, and enhancing personal life skills for navigating daily obstacles. Together, we work towards achieving your life goals and enhancing overall well-being.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our sessions together, we'll begin by building rapport to create a safe and supportive environment. We'll then dive into the specific challenges you're facing and identify the goals you hope to achieve. By addressing your current needs and utilizing therapeutic approaches, such as CBT, DBT, and ACT, we'll work collaboratively to develop practical strategies and tools to help you overcome life stressors.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My practice is rooted in a strength-based, open-minded, and client-centered approach. I firmly believe that everyone can learn to manage life's challenges and lead a more balanced life. I am passionate about helping clients feel understood and confident in various situations, whether dealing with internal struggles, family dynamics, relationship issues, or career concerns. By focusing on their inherent strengths and fostering a supportive environment, I empower clients to navigate their challenges effectively and achieve their personal goals, ultimately leading to a more fulfilling and balanced life.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

My approach is person-centered, open and collaborative as we explore ways to identify triggers and challenge maladaptive thinking, learn and incorporate mindfulness, problem-solving, and assertive communication towards enhancing ability to manage life stressors.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Through DBT, we will increase emotional regulation and distress tolerance skills in order to help you gain greater awareness and control over your thoughts and emotions as well as navigate crises more effectively and maintain stability even during challenging times.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

With ACT, I aim to create a collaborative, non-judgmental, and compassionate environment where clients can feel understood and supported, providing a safe space to explore experiences, practice new skills, and take steps towards meaningful change. We will explore together core values and acceptance of where strengths align.
