I am a mental health therapist licensed in Florida with over 10 years of experience working in social services, either in vocational rehab, case management or mental health therapy. I have worked with a variety of Clients reporting different concerns such as depression, anxiety, mood instability, parenting difficulties, but specializing in ADHD, autism and trauma. I hold a Masters in Counseling with Applied Behavior Analysis, as well as a Master's certificate in Play Therapy. I am currently working on a PhD in Developmental Psychology. It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the steps towards change and growth. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
I’m an evidence-based therapist. My training has taught me the best way to help my clients is to provide treatment based within research and proven to be successful. There are many ways to tailor treatment programs to meet the needs of each individual client though. Treatment is client focused and driven. We can work together to find what works for you.
What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?
My therapeutic approach combines behavioral, cognitive-behavioral and person centered therapies, but find I am eclectic, pulling from a variety of techniques based on the needs of my Clients. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
Quite often many therapists do not know how to work with neurodiverse clients. I have built my practice on helping those who could not find services elsewhere. My primary masters is in applied behavior analysis and my internship was specified within helping children, teens, and adults heal from trauma.
