Hi there! If you are reading this, you've taken a huge leap and you have shown courage because you're here, looking into therapy. Thank you for considering me to partner with you on this journey. A little about me: I hold a License as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). As a Hispanic counselor, I am able to conduct sessions in both English and Spanish and offer a culturally inclusive and collaborative approach. Also as Christian, if you choose, faith can be incorporated into therapy. I received my Bachelor's degree in psychology from Palm Beach Atlantic University in 2011 and my Master's in Social Work from Florida Atlantic University in 2019. Over the last 5 years I have worked in the non-profit sector providing community health to many individuals with a wide variety of challenges, such as relational challenges, grief and trauma symptoms. I am trained using Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and have over 4 years of experience implementing Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), using play therapy skills and solution-focused approaches to process difficult experiences and improve quality of life. Whether you are dealing with recent or past difficult experiences, loss, or life changes, or you are feeling disconnected, I am here to support you. Using evidence-based interventions, and leaning on your strengths, we can find the closure you might need and hope for a better future. We can change the narrative together.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session will be to get some basic information, learn more about you and confirm you feel we are a good fit to work together on your goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am relational in my approach and genuinely care about connecting with individuals. I try to think about what it might be like to be on the other side and maintain an empathic stance through this process. Therapy may sometimes feel "scary" in some ways, courageously speaking the unspeakable. My aim is that in our working relationship, you feel heard and hopeful.

My treatment methods

EMDR

EMDR uses right-left movement to assist processing negative beliefs and body sensations connected to difficult experiences or events. EMDR is a powerful tool that can target memories stored on our bodies which talk therapy alone may not address.

Attachment-based

Using narrative and reflection we connect and make sense of the stories from the past and they relate to how you see the world. This awareness alone can be a huge support on your journey of healing.
