New to Grow
"I am not afraid of storms, for I am learning how to sail my ship." -Louisa May Alcott. Hello! I am Crystal Williams, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker serving Californians via telehealth. I have 10 years of experience providing therapy to people from all walks of life. I began my clinical journey at USC Telehealth, then worked with Los Angeles County and the Department of Defense before committing to full-time private practice
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Your intake session is the starting point; I will ask you questions about your history and symptoms. We will talk about what brings you to therapy and explore treatment options together. There will be time for you to ask me questions to make sure I'm the right therapist for your needs. It is normal to feel nervous before meeting a new therapist and I hope to put you at ease quickly.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
Clients often say that therapy with me feels unique. I'm approachable, grounded, and practical, with a sprinkle of humor when it fits. My approach is eclectic, tailoring a personalized treatment plan for each person. I offer a judgment-free space to explore your concerns and develop tools to alleviate symptoms. You are the expert in your own life; I’m here as a consultant and collaborator. I can help you launch your boat, but you’ve got to do the paddling!
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I help anyone dealing with PTSD, anxiety, or depression. Whether you're an overthinker struggling to sleep, finding it hard to move past a trauma, facing a big life transition, or just feeling out of sorts, we can work through it together. Whatever brings you to therapy, you're not alone, and there's always hope. Feeling supported, heard, and understood can make a big difference in the healing process. If none of the available times work for you, let me know, and I’ll do my best to accommodate. 30-minute sessions are perfectly fine too. The most important thing is that therapy should never feel like another stressor in your life.
Eclectic
My theoretical approach can best be described as eclectic, as I create a bespoke treatment plan for each individual. I am skilled at using a variety of techniques, but the most important factor in therapy is the relationship between you and me. So, my overall goal is to nurture our therapeutic relationship and create an open, accepting space for you.
