Hello Everyone! My name is Lyndal Bedford and I am a licensed clinical social worker. My role is to come alongside you as you discover the peace, hope, and joy of life that you were always meant to have. I work to provide a safe space to process thoughts and emotions that can be overwhelming. If you feel stuck and do not know how to move forward, come talk with me!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will begin with brief introductions and going over the goals of therapy. We will discuss confidentiality and what the purpose of therapy is. Afterwards, this will be the time to share your situation to the extent that you feel comfortable. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Working with clients for the past 4 years, I have been able to tailor therapy that safely allows the clients to process their story one chapter at a time. Through the process, I am able to ask questions from multiple perspectives that are respectful and meaningful.

My treatment methods

Christian Counseling

With Christian Counseling, I integrate biblical principles with the psychology of therapy. I incorporate scripture into the healing process.

Faith based therapy

In practice, I will encourage the use of a client's faith to help guide them to a better understanding of themselves. The focus is on creating healthier self-esteem and finding/realizing purpose

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use worksheets and assignments for clients to participate in to show how the way they think can affect the way they feel and behave.

Narrative

Will help the client to form a story about their lives and use deep and interpersonal reflections.

Psychoeducation

I provide information and educate clients on mental health and how their personal situation could be affected by a mental health diagnosis.
