My name is Lucy M. Meza, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with over eight years of experience providing mental health services. I began my career working in outpatient settings within nonprofit community programs, where I supported individuals and families navigating a wide range of emotional and relational challenges. This foundation has deeply shaped my commitment to accessible, compassionate, and culturally responsive care. I work with children, adolescents, families, and couples, offering therapy in both English and Spanish to ensure that clients from diverse backgrounds—especially within the Latinx community—feel seen, heard, and understood. My approach blends Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with spiritual reflections, supporting clients in reconnecting with their inner Self, strengthening self-love, and building healthy, meaningful relationships. I specialize in helping clients address concerns such as trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, communication difficulties, behavioral challenges, and relationship issues. Whether I’m working with a child, a couple, or an entire family, I strive to create a warm, collaborative space where healing and growth are possible. To meet the unique needs of today’s families, I offer flexible telehealth sessions as well as in-person therapy in a welcoming office setting. Whether you're seeking support for your child, looking to strengthen your partnership, or hoping to reconnect as a family, I am here to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing and empowerment.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I want clients to know that therapy with me is a safe, supportive, and collaborative space. My approach is warm, culturally responsive, and tailored to your unique needs—whether you're navigating anxiety, parenting challenges, relationship stress, or past trauma. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I work with individuals, children, and families to help build healthier relationships and promote emotional growth. I also offer services in both English and Spanish to support clients in the language they feel most comfortable. Healing is possible, and you don’t have to go through it alone.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is the rich life experience I bring to my work. As a Latina woman in my 50s, I have had the privilege of working both as an educator and a therapist, supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds. These experiences have deepened my understanding of people’s unique stories and challenges. I am passionate about helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, and relationship issues with compassion, cultural sensitivity, and practical tools that foster growth and healing.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have over 8 years of experience providing counseling services to the Bay Area community, which includes teens, adults, families, and couples. I am now licensed in California as a Marriage and Family Therapist. I believe that change is possible when we feel heard, understood, and supported. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I work with clients to identify and reframe unhelpful thoughts, build healthier coping strategies, and create lasting change. My approach is collaborative and tailored to your unique needs, helping you feel empowered and supported as you work toward your goals. If you’re ready to take that next step, I’d be honored to walk alongside you on your journey.
