My name is Lucy M. Meza, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with over eight years of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families on their healing journeys. I began my career in outpatient nonprofit community programs, where I worked with individuals and families facing a wide range of emotional, relational, and life challenges. That early foundation continues to shape my deep commitment to providing accessible, compassionate, and culturally responsive care. I work with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples, and I proudly offer therapy in both English and Spanish. Serving the Latinx community is especially close to my heart, and I strive to create a space where clients feel seen, heard, respected, and understood. My therapeutic approach blends Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with spiritual reflection and mindfulness, supporting clients in reconnecting with their inner strengths, practicing self-love, and building healthy, meaningful relationships. I specialize in working with concerns such as trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, communication difficulties, behavioral challenges, and relationship issues. Whether I am supporting a child, a couple, or an entire family, my goal is to create a warm, safe, and culturally sensitive environment where healing feels possible and growth feels natural. I approach therapy through a lens of compassion, spirituality, and self-love, honoring each person’s story and inner wisdom. I believe true healing happens when we reconnect with ourselves, our roots, and the people we love. To meet the needs of today’s busy families, I offer both flexible telehealth and in-person sessions in a welcoming environment. Whether you are seeking support for your child, working on strengthening your self-worth, or longing to restore peace and connection in your relationships, I am here to walk beside you with understanding, faith, and encouragement on your path toward healing and empowerment.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Your first session is a time for you to feel safe, supported, and truly heard. Therapy with me is a collaborative and non-judgmental space where we begin by understanding what brings you in, what you are hoping to change, and what has worked—or not worked—for you in the past. My approach is warm, culturally responsive, and tailored to your unique needs, whether you are navigating anxiety, parenting challenges, relationship stress, or the impact of past trauma. I work with individuals, children, families, and couples, and I offer sessions in both English and Spanish, so you may express yourself in the language that feels most natural to you. You do not have to have everything figured out before starting. Healing is possible, and you do not have to go through it alone.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is the depth of lived and professional experience I bring into the therapy room. As a Latina woman, I understand the importance of culture, family, faith, and resilience. I have worked alongside a variety of specialists and professionals in the mental health field, and each experience has shaped the way I show up for my clients with empathy, insight, and practical guidance. I am passionate about helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges with compassion and cultural sensitivity. My goal is not only to help you feel better, but to help you build the skills, confidence, and clarity needed to create real, lasting change in your life.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work best with children, individuals, families, and couples, offering therapy in both English and Spanish to ensure that clients from diverse backgrounds—especially within the Latinx community—feel seen, heard, and understood.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have over 9 years of experience providing counseling services to the Bay Area community, which includes teens, adults, families, and couples. I am now licensed in California as a Marriage and Family Therapist. I believe that change is possible when we feel heard, understood, and supported. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I work with clients to identify and reframe unhelpful thoughts, build healthier coping strategies, and create lasting change. My approach is collaborative and tailored to your unique needs, helping you feel empowered and supported as you work toward your life goals. If you’re ready to take that next step, I’d be honored to walk alongside you on your journey.
