Hi! I'm a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) based in Ohio that also has licensure in Maine. I received my Masters in Social Work from The Ohio State University and have been practicing for 6 years. I help adults with adults of all ages identify and grow towards where they want their life to be in the future and now.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will cover brief introductions and then go into further detail about what is most relevant for you in this moment and what has led to this point in time. Then, we will identify a game plan and go from there!

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am an empathetic therapist who tries to meet each person where they are currently at. Every day can look different and each person brings their own unique skills and abilities as well as lived experiences to therapy. I am skilled at helping support others in identifying their own strengths and abilities, defining a 'road map' to goals, and changing the road map as needed as we go. I'm here to provide support but also gently challenge you to break through barriers or other areas that may be holding you back. I have a strong sense of humor and empathy and bring both to therapy with clients.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I've used CBT in my practice for over 5 years. CBT is the 'gold standard' of psychotherapy and is what I use at the starting point for many clients. It uses the idea of our thoughts, feelings, and behavior all impact our overall mental health and life and that changing one affects the other two.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use Solution Focused therapy to help clients identify goals that are most important to them right now and immediate, clear action steps that can be taken to address the goals.

Daialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT is helpful to address emotional highs and lows or the opposite (living too much in the rational mind) and strive towards emotional regulation. I help clients reach a place where they are able to better be in touch with emotions, their meanings, and have a better balance for everyday life and bigger issues.
