New to Grow
Hello, I’m Dr. Patrick Argiro, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) with experience supporting children, teens, adults, and couples. I help clients navigate anxiety, trauma, depression, relationship challenges, and life transitions using evidence-based approaches such as CBT, CPT, Motivational Interviewing, and Emotionally Focused Therapy. My style is warm, practical, and collaborative, and I strive to create a supportive space where clients feel understood, empowered, and equipped with tools to make meaningful change.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, we will take time to get to know each other and discuss what brought you to therapy. I’ll ask questions about your current concerns, background, and what goals you would like to work toward. Together, we will begin developing a plan that feels supportive, practical, and tailored to your needs. My priority is to create a safe, respectful space where you feel comfortable, understood, and hopeful about the process moving forward.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My greatest strengths as a therapist are my ability to build trust quickly, provide practical and effective tools, and help clients create meaningful change. I use evidence-based approaches such as CBT, CPT, Motivational Interviewing, and Emotionally Focused Therapy to support emotional healing and long-term growth. Clients often appreciate my warm, direct, and collaborative style, as well as my focus on clear goals, real-world progress, and helping them feel empowered both in and outside of sessions.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My ideal clients are individuals, teens, and couples who feel stuck and are ready for real change. You may be struggling with anxiety, trauma, relationship conflict, anger, low self-esteem, or feeling overwhelmed by life transitions. I work best with clients who want practical tools, honest support, and a therapist who will help them build clarity, confidence, and emotional strength. If you’re motivated to heal, grow, and create healthier patterns in your life or relationships, I would be honored to work with you.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
In our work together, we will use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you understand how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. We will identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck and practice new ways of thinking and responding that support your goals. CBT is a practical, skills-based approach, so you can expect to learn tools you can use in everyday life between sessions to create real and lasting change.
Cognitive Processing (CPT)
In our work together, we may use Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), an evidence-based treatment designed to help individuals recover from trauma and PTSD. CPT focuses on understanding how traumatic experiences can impact thoughts, beliefs, and emotions. We will work to identify and challenge unhelpful trauma-related beliefs, reduce feelings of guilt, shame, or fear, and develop healthier ways of thinking so you can move forward with greater clarity, safety, and emotional strength.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
In our work together, we may use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an evidence-based approach that helps individuals and couples better understand and strengthen emotional connection. EFT focuses on identifying patterns of conflict or disconnection and exploring the deeper emotions and attachment needs underneath them. Through this process, we work to improve communication, build trust, and create a more secure and supportive relationship with yourself and others.
Couples Counseling
In couples counseling, we will work together to improve communication, rebuild trust, and strengthen your relationship. Sessions provide a supportive space to better understand patterns of conflict, explore each partner’s needs, and develop healthier ways of connecting. The goal is to help you work as a team, resolve challenges more effectively, and create a stronger, more secure partnership moving forward.
Motivational Interviewing
In our work together, we may use Motivational Interviewing (MI), a supportive approach that helps you explore your goals, values, and readiness for change. MI focuses on strengthening your own motivation and confidence by resolving ambivalence and identifying what matters most to you. This method is collaborative and nonjudgmental, helping you take meaningful steps forward at a pace that feels realistic and empowering.
