My therapy style is holistic, empowering, and down-to-earth. I value curiosity, intuition, and humor. My approach allows us to have honest and collaborative conversations that promote meaningful growth. I believe healing happens in safe and attuned relationships. I provide individual therapy for adults & teens age 16 & up. I am a California licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from UC Davis and a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology with a Concentration in Marriage & Family Therapy from the University of San Francisco. I've had the privilege of working with adults & teens in the mental health space since 2012.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During your first therapy appointment, we’ll take time to get to know each other and begin building a supportive, collaborative relationship. I’ll ask about what brings you to therapy, your goals, and any relevant personal or mental health history. You’ll also have space to ask me questions and share at your own pace- there’s no pressure to talk about everything right away. Together, we’ll start to outline a path forward that feels safe and aligned with your needs.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

From a young age, I saw how the quality of our relationships shape the way we see ourselves and the world. Through my own experience in therapy, I came to understand how impactful a supportive relationship can be. The insight and tools I learned helped me feel more grounded and capable in facing life’s challenges. Today, I bring that perspective into my work as a therapist- and as a wife, stepmom, and dog mom in a blended family.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I support sex & relationship difficulties, step-parents & blended family dynamics, and teens & young adults.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use ACT to help clients build psychological flexibility- the ability to stay present and engaged in life, even when facing difficult thoughts or emotions. Rather than trying to eliminate distress, ACT focuses on helping you accept what’s out of your control, connect with your values, and take meaningful action. Together, we'll work on developing mindfulness skills, defusing from unhelpful thought patterns, and aligning your choices with what matters most to you.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I incorporate DBT to support clients in developing skills to manage intense emotions, improve relationships, and increase resilience. I draw from DBT’s core areas- mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness- to help clients navigate challenges with greater balance and self-awareness. These skills are integrated into sessions in practical, personalized ways to promote lasting change.

Mind-body approach

I integrate mind-body approaches to help clients deepen awareness of how emotional experiences show up physically. Techniques such as breathwork, grounding, and somatic awareness support regulation of the nervous system and promote healing from stress and trauma. By tuning into the body alongside the mind, clients can access deeper insight, safety, and resilience in the therapy process.

Sex Therapy

I utilize sex therapy approaches to help clients explore concerns related to intimacy, desire, identity, and sexual functioning in a safe, nonjudgmental space. Together, we will address emotional, relational, and physiological aspects of sexuality- always honoring each person's values and goals. Whether working through shame, communication barriers, or changes across the lifespan, I support clients in cultivating a more connected and empowered sexual self.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

I use EFT approaches to support clients in deepening their understanding of emotional patterns and strengthen their relationships. By exploring core emotions and attachment needs, clients can shift unhelpful reactive cycles, build emotional safety, and foster more secure, connected bonds with themselves and others. EFT is especially helpful in working with couples and individuals seeking healing through more authentic emotional expression.
