Hi, I’m Amy a wife and mom of three, including a 6-year-old son with significant medical needs, which has shaped so much of who I am as a person and as a therapist. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and an authentic, relatable approach because I know how often we lack the tools to understand our emotions or why we react in ways that don’t always align with who we want to be. Life can send us on unexpected journeys that shatter our world, and from my own experience, I believe therapy provides the grounding and skills that make those moments survivable and even transformative. My goal is to offer a compassionate space where you can learn tools, feel understood, and move toward peace at your own pace.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll take some time to get to know each other and make sure you feel comfortable. We’ll go over a few expectations for therapy and review the forms you completed. I’ll explain my therapeutic approach and answer any questions you may have. We’ll also talk about the symptoms or challenges that brought you to therapy and begin identifying your goals, so we can create a plan that feels supportive and meaningful for you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What stands out about my approach is the combination of evidence-based CBT tools with a very authentic, relatable style. I believe people open up when they feel genuinely seen, so I show up as a real human not a blank slate. I help clients clearly understand the patterns behind their thoughts and emotions while also giving practical skills they can use right away in daily life. Many clients share that this blend of honesty, warmth, and concrete strategies helps them feel understood, supported, and empowered to create meaningful change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone navigating stress, life transitions, or emotional overwhelm who wants a therapist who is both authentic and equips them with practical tools. They’re ready to understand their inner world and build coping skills that help them find peace in the middle of life’s chaos.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. Together, we look at the patterns that may be causing stress and explore new ways of thinking and coping. I bring authenticity and a relatable style to therapy because I believe being real with each other helps us be honest about the negative thoughts that get in the way of feeling at peace with ourselves and the world around us. I offer practical tools—like reframing unhelpful thoughts, grounding skills, and behavior strategies—and tailor everything to each client’s unique needs and pace.
