LCSW, 10 years of experience
Hi there, I'm Rita. Do you ever feel so overwhelmed by daily tasks that getting through the day feels like a struggle? Are you finding it difficult to balance your relationships, work, and health, leaving little time for yourself? If this sounds familiar, you don't have to face it alone. I help individuals manage anxiety, depression, and the feeling of being stuck, guiding them toward a path of balance and well-being. Together, we will identify the obstacles holding you back and develop a plan to help you feel like yourself again. My approach is holistic, nurturing your mind, body, and spirit. I integrate techniques from mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and holistic therapy to help you build a stronger, more compassionate relationship with yourself.
"Our initial session will start with brief introductions, followed by a discussion of the specific challenges you're confronting. This will provide the foundation for a customized plan for our follow-up sessions aligned with the goals you want to achieve. "
My therapeutic approach is rooted in creating a safe, calm, and welcoming space where you can feel comfortable sharing your story without fear of judgment. I believe that a strong, trusting relationship is the foundation for healing and growth. My journey to this work began with my own experience of seeking help during a difficult time. It was through that process that I witnessed the profound power of having a compassionate, empathetic listener. That experience inspired me to dedicate my life to offering that same support to others. My approach is less about 'fixing' what's broken and more about uncovering the strength and authenticity that's already within you. I see myself as a guide in your journey, providing a supportive space and practical tools to help you navigate challenges, clarify your values, and ultimately, become the most aligned and confident version of yourself. The most rewarding result I see is clients not just feeling better, but building a life they are genuinely excited to live.
You Don't Have to Carry This Alone Are you feeling weighed down by constant "what ifs" or a heaviness that just won't lift? Do you find it hard to feel safe and connected in your relationships? If so, you're in the right place. I specialize in walking alongside adults who are dealing with: >The exhausting grip of anxiety and depression. >The pain and isolation that come from relationship issues and social struggles. >The feeling of being defined by your past, especially if you've experienced trauma (sexual, emotional, or physical). >The pressure and burnout of work and career challenges. The clients I work with are often seeking more than just a quick fix; they are looking for a safe space to be truly heard and understood. They are ready to unpack their past, make sense of their present, and develop the skills to build a more peaceful and confident future. If you're ready to move from feeling broken to feeling whole, I would be honored to support you.
I’ve been using CBT skills in my practice for the past three years. It’s helped dozens of clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. We’ll use CBT skills to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.
I have also used ACT in my therapy as well as other Intergarted modalities which can help to serve a variety of symptoms, as no one person fits into the same "box" and therfore different approaches are necessary to help reach individal goals. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a form of psychotherapy that emphasizes accepting thoughts and feelings rather than trying to change them, while committing to actions that align with personal values. Built on 6 core principles Acceptance: Allowing thoughts and feelings to exist without judgment or the need to change them. Cognitive Defusion: Learning to detach from unhelpful thoughts and viewing them as mere words rather than truths. Being Present: Engaging fully in the current moment and experiencing life as it unfolds. Self as Context: Understanding oneself as a whole, rather than being defined by specific thoughts or feelings. Values: Identifying what is truly important in life and what one wants to stand for. Committed Action: Taking concrete steps towards living a life that aligns with one’s values. This is the foundation of learning self-love and acceptance in order to move foraward and build on a stronger YOU.

Rita is the most empathetic person I’ve ever had the chance to meet, she is a girl’s girl and understood everything that I was going through right off the bat. I am so thankful for her and look forward to working with her in the future.
