Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we will start with brief introductions, then dive into specific challenges you are facing. This will help us create a tailored plan moving forward into following sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My communication style is calm, friendly, and accommodating. I want my clients to feel as open and as comfortable talking with me about anything, and I take great pride in my ability to listen without judgment and with empathy. My journey to becoming a therapist I chose this profession as I have always been a person who helps others. I once needed help and reached out, I was led on this journey through my past and what I have been able to achieve. I have always known I would be helping people through difficult times as I was once helped. I enjoy seeing individuals become the best versions of themselves.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

depression, anxiety, social issues, work, and some relationship issues, as well as trauma (sexual, emotional, physical)

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I’ve been using CBT skills in my practice for the past three years. It’s helped dozens of clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. We’ll use CBT skills to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I have also used ACT in my therapy as well as other Intergarted modalities which can help to serve a variety of symptoms, as no one person fits into the same "box" and therfore different approaches are necessary to help reach individal goals. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a form of psychotherapy that emphasizes accepting thoughts and feelings rather than trying to change them, while committing to actions that align with personal values. Built on 6 core principles Acceptance: Allowing thoughts and feelings to exist without judgment or the need to change them. Cognitive Defusion: Learning to detach from unhelpful thoughts and viewing them as mere words rather than truths. Being Present: Engaging fully in the current moment and experiencing life as it unfolds. Self as Context: Understanding oneself as a whole, rather than being defined by specific thoughts or feelings. Values: Identifying what is truly important in life and what one wants to stand for. Committed Action: Taking concrete steps towards living a life that aligns with one’s values. This is the foundation of learning self-love and acceptance in order to move foraward and build on a stronger YOU.

Rita is the most empathetic person I’ve ever had the chance to meet, she is a girl’s girl and understood everything that I was going through right off the bat. I am so thankful for her and look forward to working with her in the future.
