New to therapy? Familiar with therapy but hoping to get reconnected? Whatever the circumstance - let's walk through the process together! I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, life stressors and transitions and impacts of religion. I provide a space for you to explore, create goals and build skills that will manage symptoms and provide clarity as you move forward. Together we will work to create an individualized plan which include strategies to best provide care for yourself and I will work to provide a person-centered space with use of humor and curiosity to explore and heal the parts of you that are hurting. I am a licensed clinical social worker and have worked in community mental health and hospitals for over 7 years, working with a wide array of community members seeking relief and support around their mental health. I also have lived experience around the impacts of religion and I have a passion in supporting you as you process. I value your experience and will work with you to set individualized goals, build coping skills, and provide a non-judgmental space sprinkled with humor and compassion. I love both cats AND dogs, reading, and fall/winter. So if all of this is your jam - I welcome you to reach out!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Clients can expect a thorough assessment during the first session to figure out their style. If clients prefer worksheets between sessions we can incorporate that, if clients are looking for a space to talk with effective support we can do that as well. Sessions will be unique to each person. Once we have the initial appointment, we will create goals and what the expectation is and will check-in every few weeks on progress. I am always open to feedback to create sessions that are the most supportive to a client.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

Person-centered approach Mindfulness and grounding techniques Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Trauma-Informed Care Solution Focused Therapy Dialectical Behavior therapy (DBT) Motivational Interviewing

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strengths are being a strong listener who is trauma-informed and will meet you where you are at. I strive to tailor your session to meet you as an individual and find appropriate modalities that will meet your specific needs.
