We all struggle or feel overwhelmed. It's normal. But we also have the ability to learn, grow, and improve. Having the right support can really help avoid making things worse and speed up how quickly we recover. Whether you are dealing with stress, depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, relationship issues or long term mental health challenges - I would really like to help you achieve your goals. With over 15 years of experience coaching individuals and couples with a wide variety of issues I believe that together we can work to help you feel better, improve your life, and be healthy. I look forward to talking with you!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The big thing is feeling comfortable and believing that counseling can help. That all starts with getting to know each other and making sure you feel good about it and safe so that we can actually talk through the real issues without fear of being judged. Often this leads to new ideas and tools that can be used to make lasting positive changes. The other important ingredients are accountability and feedback so that we can really see if things are getting better or not. Some people want to dive right in and others want to go slow -- whatever is helpful is totally fine.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I truly love what I do. Not everyday or every session is fun, but I am passionate about personally improving and being healthy and really love supporting people trying to make their lives better. I also really care about designing a custom plan specifically based on the person I am helping

My treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT is useful to teach practical skills for (1) managing stress (2) being more aware of what is going on, (3) how to work with emotions, and (4) people skills

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing allows me to help people build motivation and figure out why and how they can achieve theirs goals and avoid the cycle of trying and failing over and over again

Strength-Based

This approach can help people overcome tough problems by focusing on their strengths instead of their weaknesses.

Gottman method

It is a heavily researched based approach that helps people learn new relationship skills and avoid making the same mistakes over and over again.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT helps change unconscious or automatic thinking that comes from deeply held beliefs.
