Hi my name is Claudia Lorena Sanchez and I am a bilingual, Spanish/English Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 20 years of experience. My approach is direct yet compassionate, blending non-directive guidance with empathy to create a supportive and effective therapeutic environment. I specialize in helping individuals enhance their mental health and well-being by developing effective coping skills and processing traumatic experiences to overcome life’s challenges.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we’ll have an in-depth conversation about your upbringing, significant relationships, and life experiences. This allows me to get to know you, answer any questions you may have, and collaboratively develop a treatment plan tailored to your needs.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a teenager and young adult, I faced my own struggles and often wished for someone I could trust—someone who would support me without judgment. That experience shaped my path and inspired me to become the therapist I am today. I strive to be that trusted support for others, creating a safe space where clients can explore who they are, feel understood, and work toward becoming the best version of themselves. I strive to create a warm, empathetic, and collaborative space where clients feel heard, validated, and supported. My approach is both encouraging and challenging, helping clients step out of their comfort zones, recognize patterns, and explore new strategies for growth. While my communication style is direct, I balance it with warmth and empathy, fostering a non-judgmental environment where clients feel truly listened to.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I support individuals facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief and loss, substance abuse, PTSD, and stress related to life transitions. I work alongside my clients to develop practical strategies for navigating life’s challenges, integrating mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, somatic techniques, and brainspotting to support healing and personal growth. Additionally, I help clients process and heal from traumatic experiences, fostering resilience and emotional well-being.
