I will help you attain tools/techniques to get you back on path or assist with starting a new journey through compassionate support, gentle guidance, & non-judgmental therapeutic rapport. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Los Angeles County, who is fluent in Spanish. I received my Associate degree in Criminal Justice, Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Master’s degree in Social Work with a focus on children, youth, woman, and family’s. I am certified as a Chemical Dependency Recovery Specialist. For over 19 years, have worked in various capacities with diverse populations ranging from children, teens, adults, and elderly. I have experience with children with autism, adolescents undergoing self-esteem, school difficulties, family struggles, abuse, neglect, pregnancy, mental health, substance use, at risk youth and those involved in the criminal justice system/foster care system. I have experience with working with the entire family unit, improving the communication, solving family problems, & creating a better functioning home environment, assisting with reunification & permanency. I have served working professionals in need of support for obstacles they may be facing whether they are internal factors (anxiety, depression, insomnia, ptsd, stress, etc) or external factors (work related stress, divorce, health problems, family problems, adjustment concerns). I also special in working with individuals with severe mental illness & have served them at a forensic inpatient facility by providing direct services through one-on-one therapy, crisis intervention and case management. I have experience providing substance abuse counseling along with group therapy to those struggling with some type of addiction. Agencies I have worked for include DCFS, DHS, GRYD, Probation, CHLA, LAUSD, etc. Change is part of life, it is inevitable, yet it can be scary. Allow me to assist! What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session, we will start off with introductions, expectations, and discuss challenging that you are facing. We will discuss goals which will help me develop a plan that will work on throughout follow up sessions.

My strengths are being able to connect with my clients by providing gentle, warm guidance, a supportive/safe environment to share, establishing a non-judgmental therapeutic relationship. I have good listening skills, empathetic, I have an open mind, strong problem-solving skills and my communication is clear whether it is in English or Spanish.
