I am a Master prepared, Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing culturally informed mental health care in populations across the lifespan, including children, teens, and adults with complex acute and chronic psychiatric disorders. I am CBT & DBT trained and specialize in care for the LGBTQ+ community, Southeast Asians, Military/Veterans, neurodivergent, and severe mental illness. I provide talk therapy and medication management from a holistic and evidence-based treatment for conditions related to mood, anxiety, trauma, psychosis, and issues with focus and concentration.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, and then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will guide us in creating a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Since 2009, I have provided care in psychiatric-mental health as an RN and NP supporting people across the lifespan in every setting. I have developed skills to support people from a person-centered approach to meet their goals of living life at their best.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT, a form of short-term, problem-focused therapy, helps clients identify and change thinking and behavior patterns that cause distress related to depression, anxiety, and addictive behaviors.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a structured therapy that focuses on teaching four core skills (mindfulness, acceptance & distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness) to treat mood disorders, anxiety, addictions, trauma response, Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), and ADHD.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is an evidence-based approach to behavior change through open questioning, affirmation, reflection, and summarizing to make healthy life changes.

Trauma Informed Care

Trauma Informed Care allows patients to engage more fully in their health care, develop a trusting relationship with me as a provider, and improve long-term health outcomes.

Gender-affirming therapy

Gender-affirming therapy focuses on affirming a patient’s gender identity and does not try to “repair” it by acknowledging trauma, shame, depression, self-harm, violence, sexuality, medical treatment, and societal stigma.
