Hi there! Thank you for checking out my profile. I am Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Florida with over four years of clinical experience. I earned my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Clinical Social Work from the University of South Florida. No matter what you're struggling with, I pride myself in always seeing you as a person first and working to understand what has brought you thus far and how we can improve your daily living together. I completed my master's level clinical internship at a partial hospitalization clinic where I specialized in treating anxiety, OCD, eating disorders, and depression. I also have two years of experience treating clients who struggle with addiction to substances. I enjoy working with clients who are highly motivated to help them utilize their strengths to stop allowing their symptoms to rule their life. For those that would like to incorporate their Christian faith into treatment, I am a practicing Christian and would love to use God's word to help you overcome your mental health concerns.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session, I'd like to get to know you and answer any questions you have about me as a therapist. This will ensure that we are a good fit to work together to meet your treatment goals. I'd like to hear about what brought you to therapy and what you're hoping to achieve. This will help me build your personalized treatment plan to help you achieve your goals in the following sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with a wide-variety of people from all walks of life, I am skilled at helping clients self-evaluate and get to the root of their presenting issue to make progress towards their goals. No matter the diagnosis, I specialize in helping people with tangible methods to challenge their symptoms, resulting in progress that feels rewarding and instills confidence in the client.

My treatment methods

Christian Counseling

For those that would like to incorporate their Christian faith into their therapy sessions, I am an active non-denominational Christian. I believe that Jesus can act as the ultimate source of hope to strengthen those struggling with mental health issues. I would love to use God's Word to encourage you during our sessions. "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand." - Isiah 41:10

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is perfect for clients who want to identify the connection between their behaviors and their emotions and learn how to break the negative cycle. I have been using CBT with clients for many years and have seen strong results using this technique. CBT is particularly helpful for those struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, and addictions.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

ERP is a highly studied and effective technique for conquering anxiety, OCD, and eating disorders. I completed my master's level clinical internship studying and training in ERP, making it one of my favorite techniques to use with appropriate clients. We will start by identifying your fears, building your coping skill toolbox, and then work together to challenge your fears so they no longer have control over your life.

Strength-Based

No matter what you are going through, everyone has strengths. Sometimes they are hard to identify when life hits you hard and it feels like you have no idea what the next step is to take. Through strength-based counseling, I utilize empathy and the person-centered approach to help you identify and utilize your strengths to overcome life's obstacles.
