Greetings! My name is Asia and I help adult individuals with a history of developmental (childhood) trauma repair attachment injuries and thrive in their present-day relationships. As a team, we collaborate to make sense of these experiences, develop a toolkit of adaptive skills, and establish a safe space to promote post-traumatic growth. My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and individualized. You are the expert on your life, and I am here to challenge, guide and support you as you tread your therapeutic journey. Whilst informality is a marker of my style, evidence-based practices such as EMDR, CBT, and Motivational interviewing guide my interventions. If my style and approach sound like what you're looking for, I welcome you to reach out and begin this work with me. Choosing a therapist who understands your unique needs, has training in the subjects most relevant to your issues, and makes you feel comfortable can be difficult. It would be my honor to be your fit!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In me, you can expect a personable and compassionate psychotherapist who uses a humanistic approach to facilitate healing in your life. I take pride in developing a genuine and quality therapeutic alliance with my clients.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

My vast experience in working with a diversified clientele, informs my belief that everyone deserves to be heard and to have access to mental health treatment. I have worked with children, teens, and adults struggling with mental and environmental challenges such as domestic violence, depression, sexual assault, and anxiety. I completed my clinical hours as an outpatient therapist in South Los Angeles providing in-person sessions in homes, on the streets, and every place in between. My treatment approach is tailored to each individual but I pull from theoretical orientations such as attachment, trauma, cognitive-behavioral, and psychodynamic theory.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I specialize in working with adult individuals struggling to maintain healthy relationships with others in response to them experiencing childhood adverse life experiences. I primarily aid these individuals with processing these traumas using the EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) treatment modality. EMDR uses bilateral stimulation ( visual, auditory or tactile stimuli that occur in a rhythmic left-right pattern) to help an individual shift their perspective of the distressing event. I have been EMDR trained since 2020.
