Hello! I'm Tracy Ludewig, a Texas-licensed professional counselor. I offer counseling for individuals aged 15 and above. I have a Master of Educational Psychology from Texas A&M University and have been providing teletherapy services for two years. My counseling approach focuses on creating a safe and accepting environment for you, the client. I believe that together, we can address your concerns, increase self-awareness, and work towards achieving your therapeutic goals. I draw from various counseling theories and approaches, such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Reality Therapy Techniques, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy. I may use techniques from different theories to support you in reaching your counseling goals. Your input in developing therapy goals is crucial, and you are encouraged to ask questions about treatment techniques and goals. I offer counseling services in short-term, long-term, and as-needed increments of 30 and 45 minutes.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our initial session, we will spend time getting to know each other. I will review my Informed Consent policy, gather information about you, and then focus on your counseling goals. This will help ensure that I am the right counselor for you.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My specialties include anxiety, depression, high-functioning autism, and ADHD/ADD. I enjoy helping my clients build skills in the areas of self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making. These skills help clients understand themselves, connect with others, achieve goals, and become valuable community members.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT therapy) is a type of mindful psychotherapy that helps you stay focused on the present moment and accept thoughts and feelings without judgment. It aims to help you move forward through difficult emotions so you can put your energy into healing instead of dwelling on the negative

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is problem-oriented. It focuses on working through specific current problems and finding solutions for them. Unlike psychoanalysis, for example, it doesn't mainly deal with the past. CBT is much more concerned with dealing with problems in the here-and-now.

Faith based therapy

Faith-based approaches see religion as a resource to draw on, especially in times of difficulty. They endorse prayer and reliance on a higher power to provide guidance. Clients are typically encouraged to examine their lives through faith-derived principles and values.

Motivational Interviewing

It is a directive, client-centered counseling style that elicits behavior change by helping clients explore and resolve ambivalence.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Person-centered therapy is talk therapy in which the client does most of the talking. The therapist will not actively direct conversation in sessions or judge or interpret what you say, but they may restate your words to fully understand your thoughts and feelings (and to help you do the same).
