New to Grow
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) located in the heart of California's Central Valley. My experience includes working with depression, anxiety, C-PTSD, grief and loss, childhood trauma, interpersonal conflict, spiritual abuse, and life transitions. My heart as a therapist is to walk alongside individuals to cultivate and strengthen a client's sense of agency on the path to growth and healing
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session together, brief introductions will take place, so we can begin building rapport. I will explain what to expect from therapy sessions and highlight the limits of confidentiality, along with other necessary information. Feel free to ask any questions about therapy or the information given. I will ask questions to learn more about you as a person and what brings you to therapy.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
One size does not fit all. My therapeutic approach is collaborative, compassionate, holistic, and infused with humor. Communication is essential to building a strong rapport between client and therapist so that growth and healing can occur. I strive to create a relaxed atmosphere by listening without judgment, using pop culture references, stories, visual aids, play, humor, and just bringing my genuine self-energy to the session. My hope is this will empower individuals to be themselves and feel seen and heard.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I feel honored to work with individuals of all ages (5-99+) and backgrounds. My experience includes working with a variety of issues and providing trauma-informed care to individuals. Experiencing trauma from a single event, childhood, or repeated events can often impact one's emotional and physical well-being. I work to provide a safe environment for clients to process their experiences through talk, becoming attuned with their internal system, and accessing self-energy (IFS) and EMDR.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
I am a Level 2 trained IFS clinician. I use IFS to help clients connect with their internal systems (parts) with compassion and curiosity. Combining IFS with EMDR can make EMDR safer, deeper, and more integrative for clients with complex trauma.
EMDR
I am a Certified EMDRIA EMDR clinician. EMDR reduces the emotional charge, bodily distress, and negative beliefs linked to unresolved traumatic memories.
