Life always throws us curveballs. You can do everything to set yourself up to thrive, but life happens. The key to making it through life’s obstacles isn’t by fighting or avoiding them. It’s about learning to build resilience. By resilient, I mean having the right coping tools/skills to help yourself on the days you are struggling. I have a Master’s in Counseling with over 15 years of experience working with adolescents, young adults, and men and women experiencing depression, anxiety, ADHD, childhood emotional abuse, PTSD, substance abuse, grief, and sleep disorders. I am a board-certified Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Illinois, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Oregon, and a Mental Health Counselor in Washington.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
I am committed to building a trusting connection and creating a space where you feel empowered to open up and explore thoughts and emotions without fear of judgment. Establishing therapeutic goals early on and providing ongoing resources are essential to my counseling. By setting clear objectives from the outset, we can align on the direction of the therapy and track progress along the way. This process will help you work towards your desired outcomes.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
My real-life experiences have made me the empathetic and compassionate person I am today. I believe talk therapy is critical to success, but more importantly, I will teach you actual skills to use. Clients like my sense of humor, which I bring into treatment because sometimes it just helps to laugh. I can help you maneuver through the obstacles you're facing and would be honored to support you through your journey.
