What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
My clients can expect to have a safe space to process their feelings and thoughts. To feel understood and have their family/cultural system be assessed. To gain coping skills, strategies to help cope with their life changes/transitions, build their self-esteem/confidence, identify why one behavior is the way it is, how it connects to their thoughts and emotions. There will be a focus on your communication skills, assertiveness skills, how to set appropriate boundaries and limits in order to regain a life that you can identify as healthy, peaceful and reduce stress/dysfunction. Finding a right fit with a therapist is important and this is something that i am mindful of and this will be a collaborative process. My part of role as your therapist will be to help you learn coping skills, work on the necessary skill building and interpersonal skills, address any trauma while decreasing negative behaviors. Thought our work using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, you will learn to identify your thoughts, feelings and actions are not working for you, your triggers and patterns, how to identify and rectify these issues, reducing overall frequency, intensity, and duration of said identified issue so that your daily functioning is not impaired. Before we can set up an appointment for our first session, eligibility will be verified and an intake package has to be completed via email and return to provider/therapist.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I am compassionate and non-judgmental, allowing clients to feel comfortable expressing their thoughts and emotions. I am able to actively listen and provide support, validation, and guidance to help clients work through their issues and achieve their goals. I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship and strive to create a trusting and collaborative environment with my clients. Overall, my greatest strength as a therapist is my ability to connect with clients on a deep and meaningful level, fostering positive change and growth.
