Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Texas. I received my Masters from the University of Texas at Arlington and have been working with people with severe mental illness for more than 7 years. I help people struggling with mental illness become the best versions of themselves. I believe people can achieve recovery with therapy, medications and the belief in themselves.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with people with mental illness for more than 7 years, each individual plan is person centered; (a) identify the root cause of your challenges and (b) create a tailored plan that leads to measurable progress.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT would be use to challenge the patient negative thoughts and feeling and replace them with positive ones.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

The therapist would use CST to show the client she has an understanding of his/her culture, belief or values which attributes to the client culture or racial background.

Motivational Interviewing

The therapist focuses on improving an individual's motivation to change. Help individuals overcome their ambivalence or resistance to behavior change. The therapist encourages a person to make self-motivating statements that display a clear understanding of the problem and a resolve to change.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

People are the experts in their own lives. The therapist's role is to help the person identify their strengths and resources so that they can find solutions to their problems. People can change.
