Therapy is a journey and as your therapist I occupy the role of being your journeyman. As a journeyman I walk alongside you and together we explore how you’ve experienced your life, and the stressors that may be bringing you into a therapeutic space like this. I want to learn your language, understand your experience from your perspective. This is all done in our safe collaborative environment that is free from judgment and bias. Ultimately i'd like an opportunity help you gain the kind of skills that can help you manage your stressors in healthy ways.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I approach treatment with a level of reverence and respect for each person that I get to meet in this space. You can expect my approach to be affirming, and a balance of softness and direct feedback. My treatment methods

Narrative

Everyone has a story worth telling. I primarily utilize narrative therapy to explore elements of your story that you'd like to re-author.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

When using CBT we can get a unique opportunity to explore your beliefs and thoughts on how you experience your world. With CBT i will place a lot of value on your perspective and walk along side you as we explore thoughts and behaviors that influence your perspective.

Existential

Some of us want too make meaning of our lives. We yearn for intellectually stimulating explorations of aspects of our experiences that we can't really talk with other people about. I utilize an existentialist approach to help enhance therapeutic exploration and uncover new meanings to common and not-so common experiences.

Family Therapy

As a systems based family therapist i engage in the whole family and utilize post-modern ideas to explore how families can increase connection, and decrease dysfunction within their systems.
