(she/her)
I am a licensed clinical psychologist (PhD) with an MBA. I am very passionate about the dissemination of services to people that need it the most. I believe most people who want and need help can get something beneficial out therapeutic services. I have spent most of my career doing research, training the next generation of psychologists, and providing support to many organizations that treat the most vulnerable people in our society. My hope is that I can bring my knowledge and experiences to people in need.
In our first session we spend some time getting to know each other, will go over expectations of therapy, documents that need to be reviewed, and I will check in with you about what is bringing you into therapy.
I use evidenced based practices that I adjust to the needs of the client. I also utilize various progress measures depending on the type of therapy that is being used. I give clients choice and feedback regarding therapy options. I provide clients with education about the condition they may be experiencing, and how long I think it will take for us to work as a team to help the client. I find that most people that I have worked with seem to benefit from our time together.
I find that clients who do the best when working with me are ready to change something in their lives. The way CBT works is the more someone puts into their therapy, the more they tend to get out of the services. I look forward to working with anyone who needs help. I also want clients to know that it's ok to communicate with me what is going well and what we could be doing differently to make therapy a better experience.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Modified CBT to treat many different conditions, including ADHD, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and Schizophrenia.
