Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in North Carolina. I am licensed in both NC and California. I received my Masters from the University of Southern California and have been practicing for 7 years and have 15 years experience in the mental health field. I help children, adolescents, young adults, and adults struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, self-esteem challenges, and simply the ups and downs of life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing, what works for you and what doesn't work for you, and your expectations as a client. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through. From the first session I strive to create a trusting, safe environment where you feel you can be your authentic self without judgement. I pride myself in being compassionate and understanding. I will challenge you to look within yourself and empower you to make changes at your own pace.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with people of all ages and backgrounds for the past 15 years, I've developed the ability to genuinely connect with others, help others feel heard and seen, identify strengths and areas that are challenging, and empowering others to make positive changes in their lives.

My treatment methods

Attachment-based

I have used Attachment-based therapy to help individuals rebuild trust in relationships, understand their attachment styles, and learn to express emotions. I've assisted individuals identify early attachment experiences with primary caregivers (and other important relationships) and how those relationships can affect a person's ability to develop healthy relationships. I've assisted individuals address thoughts, feelings, communications, behaviors, and interpersonal exchanges that they may have learned to suppress or overemphasize because of these early experiences.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have used CBT to help individuals identify and challenge negative thought patterns and behaviors. I have assisted individuals explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and how they are interconnected and one can affect another. I have assisted individuals identify inaccurate or negative thinking so they can practice challenging those thought processes and respond to them in a more effective and productive way. I have also used CBT to support individuals with diagnosis of PTSD or affected by past trauma.

Trauma Informed Care

I have used TIC to support individuals to regain a sense of safety, power, and self-worth, which they may have lost do to a traumatic experience.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I have used components of DBT to help individuals accept their current situation and relationships. I have helped individuals make changes in their life with interpersonal relationships, their behaviors, emotional regulation, and develop healthy coping skills and lifestyles.

Family Therapy

I have facilitated many family therapy sessions to help each individual in the family unit feel heard, seen, and understood.
