Hi my name is Diana Lozano and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Texas and I am here to listen with an open mind, acceptance, respect, and without judgement. Together we can take that journey towards healing and clarity. I will provide a safe place for you to process everything that has happened, so that you can stay centered in such an unpredictable time that is filled with unknowns.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session I ask the client if they would like to know a little about who I am. In doing this, the client is able to realize that although I am a professional I am also "real", after I ask them if they have any quesitons for me. I then officially start the session with "What brings you to counseling?" Towards the close I let them know that together we can take that journey towards healing and clarity. I assure them that I will provide a safe place for them to process everything that has happened, so that thay can stay centered, and move through their issues.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths is my ability to provide empathy, tranparencey, congruence, and unconditional positive regard without judgement. I allow the client to move through the counseling as I facilitate the process.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

The premis of this approach is grounded in the idea that people are naturally motivated toward achieving positive psychological functioning. I do believe that when I have used the core principles of the Person-centered approach as unconditional positive regard, empathy, and transparancy clients respond in a positive manner. They feel understood and heard, which intern allows them to feel safe.

EMDR

Traums is something that everyone hods. The dosturbing memories that are triggered at any given moment can be for some debilitating. Through EMDR these "stuck" memories cam be reprocessed and allow the individual to move on and heal in a healthy manner.
