PMHNP, 4 years of experience
Providing expertise in mental health medication prescribing and management, my care is supported by doctoral-level training and completion of a rigorous year-long post-graduate residency. Currently serving clients in Ohio and Colorado, I offer a nonjudgmental space rooted in active listening, collaboration, and compassion. Together, we will determine an accurate diagnosis, explore the best treatment options, and create a personalized plan to support your mental health goals—whether that involves starting new medications, continuing current prescriptions, or incorporating therapeutic guidance. You’ve already made meaningful progress on your mental health journey; take the next step and reach out for the care you deserve.
During our initial session, we will explore the symptoms causing you the most distress and review assessment results. From there, we will establish a working diagnosis and create a personalized plan to address your needs through medication management, along with limited therapeutic support and coping skill development. We will meet for monthly medication checks until your treatment is stabilized at the appropriate dose. When beneficial, I also encourage referrals to therapy as a valuable complement to medication for long-term mental wellness.
As a Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I bring two decades of compassionate, empathy-driven intensive care nursing experience into my specialized doctoral training and prescriber role. By combining this foundation with the latest evidence-based practices and a patient-centered approach, I ensure you receive the best of both worlds—expert clinical knowledge and truly personalized care.
I serve clients seeking initial diagnosis, second opinions, or transfer of care. I provide prescription medications and ongoing medication management in a supportive, individualized, and unrushed setting, with timely responses to questions and concerns. My expertise is well-suited to clients experiencing depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, and ADHD. In addition, I hold a certification in Women’s Mental Health specialization and have extensive experience working with healthcare professionals and military Veterans.
ACT generally involves a few key steps. First, there's mindfulness, which helps individuals become more aware of their thoughts and feelings without judgment. Then, there's acceptance, where people learn to open up to their experiences rather than trying to avoid or suppress them. Next, there's cognitive defusion, which means learning to see thoughts as just thoughts, rather than facts. Then, you have values clarification, where the person identifies what truly matters to them. Finally, there's committed action, where they take steps aligned with their values. All these steps together help build psychological flexibility and improve mental well-being.
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, or SFBT, is typically quite collaborative and goal-oriented. Usually, it starts with the therapist and client identifying a specific issue or goal. The therapist then focuses on finding solutions rather than delving deeply into the problem. Sessions often involve exploring times when the problem wasn’t as severe, highlighting strengths and resources the client already has, and setting small, achievable goals. It's usually a shorter-term therapy, and it’s very positive and practical, often leading to quick progress and empowering the client.

She is always so kind and pleasant to talk with. I feel she truly listens to me. She also gives you hope that if what your trying doesn't work than there will be other answers. Anytime I've had to message her, she is always quick to respond. I could not recommend her enough!
