I am a curious and well-rounded provider who is trained specifically in substance use counseling which has enabled me to learn about a broad spectrum of topics and apply the family systems lens. I assist with goal-setting and insight development to guide clients toward fulfilling life changes. I use frameworks such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, internal family systems, acceptance and commitment therapy.

Motivational Interviewing
Motivational Interviewing is helpful for drawing out a person's reasons for changing a habit or routine - that could be related to substance use, nutrition and exercise, finances, and more. This technique can also help clients understand obstacles to change, problem-solve, and commit to actions that align with their desired goals and values.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
Person-centered therapy is based on the belief that clients possess inherent knowledge of what they need in order to heal. The therapist acts as a guide who uses empathy, authenticity, and positive regard to assist clients in discovering their path into recovery.
