Sometimes life circumstances and events can cloud the ability to believe this. Deciding to take a chance on therapy is a significant and, often, daunting step. But you are not alone! The past 7 years of my life as a clinician have been enriched with countless opportunities to help others discover the greatness that is within them. I have served in a variety of capacities, including as an outpatient substance use treatment counselor, a trauma and attachment-focused therapist for adoptive families, and as a behavioral health therapist in a primary care clinic. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, or relationship difficulties, I am here to walk alongside you. We'll take a holistic approach on this journey together, where you will be empathically supported in a truly non-judgmental manner. I am here to create a space where you feel safe and empowered to make positive change for a more fulfilling life. I would be honored to partner with you! PLEASE NOTE: My current schedule openings are Mondays and Fridays 6:15pm-8:30pm.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session is our opportunity to set the stage for the work we will do together. We will review the informed consent and any other intake paper work you have already completed. I will ask you questions to learn more about your history, strengths, current challenges, and hopes for therapy. During this time, I invite you to share your expectations, discuss your preferences, and ask any questions you may have about therapy. Together we will develop a plan to help you work toward your wellness goals.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I believe sessions should always be client-centered and strengths-based. I am a trauma-competent therapist that employs a range of Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI) elements.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Compassionate, holistic care is at the core of my work. We are complex beings that require more than a simple, one-dimensional approach. I strive to ensure my clients understand the strong mind-body-spirit connection at play in their lives. As a social worker, I have a deep appreciation for the way that systems outside of ourselves impact our daily lives and functioning. This holistic perspective is relevant when working through mental health challenges, relationship concerns, life transitions, and beyond.
