I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) who completed my master’s in counseling from Houston Graduate School of Theology. I have assisted many individuals and families, regardless of their age, sexual orientation or gender identity, who struggle with anger issues, chronic stress/burnout, social anxiety, marital infidelity and sex addiction, as they reclaim their inner strength, build resiliency and nurture healthier relationships.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I understand the importance of honoring the uniqueness of each person’s path, so I endeavor to foster open conversations in a welcoming environment that embrace common values with patience and understanding, without judgement. As a result, clients can expect a very personalized plan for learning valuable coping strategies which encourages self-discovery leading to increased self-esteem, with an overall improvement to social, emotional, and spiritual wellness.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I use a holistic approach to treatment which integrates evidenced-based, trauma-informed and spiritually-focused techniques that are both accessible and effective to guide clients as they work through difficult life situations. I have helped many individuals with increasing their self-esteem, managing conflicts in personal relationships, and letting go of bad habits.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my practice as an experienced clinical therapist, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients manage anger and improve relationships. I've seen significant positive outcomes with clients, as they gain understanding of the link between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. If a client is struggling with anger issues, then the focus is on identifying and challenging negative thought patterns, teaching healthier coping mechanisms. If the client is dealing with relationship issues, then the focus is on identifying barriers to good communication, increasing empathy, and decreasing conflict, leading to better relationship outcomes.

Trauma Informed Care

The use of trauma informed care has been very effective in helping clients manage anxious thoughts and improve their relationships. As we explore their adverse life events, my clients discover the source of their deeply rooted, maladaptive patterns. The feeling of relief that clients experience as they learn healthier coping mechanisms and let go of negative interaction patterns leads to an overall improvement to their quality of life.
