Creating a safe and non-judgmental place where clients feel heard and understood is my first step in supporting individuals in starting a journey of healing and growth. With my background in psychodynamic, I take a client-centered and collaborative approach, while using my additional knowledge and skills in mind-body connection, mindfulness, trauma informed and cognitive-behavioral therapy. I am also trained and certified in different treatment modalities which has enriched my practice over the years. Having lived in different countries and being exposed to different cultures have given me the opportunity to develop further cultural sensitivity.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During first session, we will meet and work together to build therapeutic rapport, for you as a client to feel if we are a good match, and for me as a therapist to gather information about you, what brings you to therapy and develop an understanding of your mental health state and the context you live in.

Empathy, genuine interest in well-being, and belief in mind-body connection as well as our connection to nature and it's power of healing are important part of my practice and therapeutic approach.

I have had the honor to work with patients from different ages and backgrounds. While I started my practice working predominantly with children and parents, I now work mostly with young adults, middle-aged adults and seniors.

Psychodynamic

Exploring early childhood experiences, exploring the unconscious mind, developing an understanding of the individual within their entire history and context , to support patient in gaining further insight into the root causes of their challenges, gaining self-awareness, processing emotions, improving relationships and developing coping skills.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Using different techniques to bring awareness to the present moment, promote practice of non-judgmental awareness, mindfulness presence which can assist in managing our emotions, thoughts and decisions in our day to day life.

Mind-body approach

Using a holistic approach which recognizes the deep connection between our mental, emotional and physical health. Incorporating different body based approaches such as breathing and grounding techniques, body-based techniques, movement based technqiues to promote connection and attunement with self-body-mind as well as the universe and the beings around us.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

A problem solving and collaborative therapy approach which examines connections between thoughts, feelings and behaviors. I am trained and certified in different levels of Positive Parenting Program which is an evidenced based and skills focused parenting program. While working with parents within the Triple P program we will be focusing on strategies to build strong parent-child relationship as well as strategies to manage challenges in the journey of supporting a child's development and growth as a parent. And more importantly building confidence and reducing stress in your journey of parenthood.
