I'm very pleased you are reaching out for help. For some, taking the first step toward counseling can be the hardest. I am in my 35th year of practice in the San Antonio area. I am very open to whatever works best for you (as long as it does not harm you or others). I provide high quality psychotherapy. Often there are many twists and turns as one becomes psychologically and socially healthier. It is my goal with every client to demonstrate empathy, kindness, and the utmost care I am able to provide. I never judge others. We are free to live our lives as we please. It seems to me many of my skills developed partially due to chronic low vision, and the problems that come with it. It is natural for me to perceive ones pain and distress, as I've dealt with my own. I appreciative you are considering me for the assistance you seek! It is a High Honor and Privilege to be invited into one's personal life to facilitate positive change.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will introduce ourselves to each other and provide a working knowledge of who we are. From there, we will delve more into the specifics that have brought you here; especially what your goals and outcomes of therapy look like to you. I take my lead from you. I am willing to discuss most issues and topics you would like, as long as they are not harmful to you or anyone else.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My client population regard me as easy to talk to, honest, caring & sensitive to their needs.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is used to identify negative thought patterns and unrealistic/negative thinking in order to replace it with more logical thinking skills. With CBT, the patient will be able to develop better coping skills and recognize faulty thinking.
