I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 18 years of experience within the mental health field. I have worked in a variety of settings including community mental centers, public health, psychiatric units, and partial hospitalization programs. My areas of expertise include stress/anxiety, depression, grief and loss, health issues, family/relationship issues, and personal growth. I utilize therapeutic approaches that explore each individual's psychological and social needs. It is my goal to assist my clients in the healing process, build self-worth, improve communication in their relationships, and reach their goals. I look forward to working with you!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session, I focus on creating a warm, non-judgmental atmosphere. I listen attentively, validate feelings, and explain how therapy works. By addressing any concerns and setting clear expectations, I aim to build trust and ensure clients feel safe and understood from the start.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths as a therapist include empathy, active listening, and the ability to create a safe, non-judgmental space. I excel in understanding clients' perspectives and helping them navigate their emotions and challenges effectively. I work to build trust and foster a therapeutic alliance. I feel that I provide insightful reflections that promote healing and growth. These strengths enable me to support clients in their journey towards positive change and well-being.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I guide my clients to identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to their life issues. It is my goal to establish supportive therapeutic relationship and set goals for my clients. I help my clients recognize harmful thoughts, emotions, and behaviors through introspection and learn practical skills like cognitive restructuring and behavioral activation to empower them to make changes in their daily lives.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy involves focusing on a client's strengths and solutions rather than problems. As a therapist, I help clients envision their preferred future, identify small steps toward goals, and boost successes.
