My name is Briauna and I have a diverse clinical background spanning over 9 years. I have showcased my expertise in various domains, notably in critical care, which has lead to my decision to become a dedicated provider. I am both a family nurse practitioner and a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. Prior to Grow Therapy, I have provided invaluable assistance to patients in psychiatric crisis in both the emergency and urgent care settings. These experiences have given me profound insight into the intricate interplay between one’s mental health and physical well-being.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I utilize evidence-based practices tailored to foster healing and resilience among her clients. Our sessions will be aimed to empower individuals to achieve greater emotional balance and enhanced overall mental health. This approach is marked by empathy, respect, and a commitment to meet the unique needs of each individual, offering support that is both accessible and of the highest quality. I champion the idea that mental health is as vital as physical health, advocating for destigmatization and increased awareness to ensure that more people recognize the importance of seeking help.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My extensive exposure to different mental health environments has not only enriched her understanding but also honed her ability to adeptly respond to the distinctive needs of each group. Her passion for mental health was ignited by a fascination with human behavior and the complexities of the mind, leading her to commit her career to understanding and treating mental health conditions with an emphasis on the criticality of early intervention.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT sessions are utilized to help patients manage their health problems by changing how they think and act. This treatment method also offers “homework” exercises outside of sessions, patients/clients are helped to develop coping skills, whereby they can learn to change their own thinking, problematic emotions, and behavior.
