I empower millennial men in Ohio to manage stress effectively, so they can enjoy a more fulfilling life and navigate their relationships with greater confidence. Are you an ambitious millennial male who is a high performer in every aspect of your life, but struggle in your relationships? Do you find yourself in unnecessary conflicts and you don’t know why? Are you a goal driven individual who is so tightly wound that you feel like you could “snap” at any moment? Does it look from the outside like your life is great but on the inside you are constantly doubting yourself? I help millennial men who are feeling anxious stop feeling like they cannot control their emotions, understand and improve their relationships, and feel like themselves again.
In our first session, we will get to know one another while we explore what you are coming to therapy for and get an understanding of your past experiences. This will inform our treatment plan, which we will use as a playbook for our time together, consistently checking in on progress to make sure we are on the right path.
When I first sought therapy, I didn’t feel an immediate impact. It was helpful to have someone to talk to, but I wasn’t seeing real changes in my everyday life. I went through multiple therapists before finding the right fit and started to learn how to identify my unconscious thoughts and beliefs and understood the power of making small, deliberate changes. Today, I use a blend of evidence-based techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing, to integrate these strategies into daily routines. This approach empowers people to manage stress more effectively and lead more fulfilling lives, while improving their relationships. Now, despite the demands of raising two young children and running my own business, I experience less stress than ever. Life’s challenges still arise, but I’ve developed the tools to face them head-on. My relationships—with my wife, children, family, and friends—are healthier and more positive than ever before.
Whether you are currently experiencing anxiety (that you have always had, that has become worse with a recent transition, or anywhere in between), depression (due to what is happening in your life today, or what has happened in the past), or coping with past traumatic experiences - I am well positioned to support you in finding new ways to intervene and help you to become the best version of yourself.
I have been using CBT in my practice since I began practicing. We will use CBT to explore the thoughts you have which lead to feelings which impact behavior and how we can intervene within the cycle.
Focusing on strengths will allow us to utilize the things you are already good at or like about yourself to help us work on the issues you are working on.
