Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in California. I received my masters from the University of Southern California and have been practicing for the past 3 years. I assist adults struggling with depression, anxiety, and trauma symptoms by guiding them through adaptive coping strategies to improve their quality of life. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is central to healing, and I strive to foster a strong, collaborative partnership with each person I work with. My approach is client-centered, meaning I tailor my methods to fit the unique needs, values, and goals of each individual.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session, clients can expect a warm and welcoming environment where we’ll take the time to get to know each other. I prioritize building rapport to ensure a good fit, as it’s important that clients feel comfortable and understood in our work together. We'll explore what brings you to therapy, discuss any immediate challenges, and begin identifying your goals for our time together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My background in criminal justice, social work, and mental health has equipped me to work with people from all walks of life, and I bring a mix of empathy, practicality, and a bit of humor where it fits to make sure you feel comfortable and supported throughout the process. I understand what it’s like to need someone to listen and help make sense of things when life feels heavy. It's an honor to be able to walk with others through their challenges and be a part of their journey toward growth and well-being.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I am deeply committed to supporting marginalized populations, recognizing the unique challenges they face in navigating life transitions, racism, micro/macro aggressions, complex trauma, and low self-esteem. I approach these issues with cultural humility and sensitivity, always prioritizing an inclusive, empathetic environment where individuals can feel safe to explore their experiences. I work collaboratively with clients to help them process trauma, develop coping strategies, and foster a sense of empowerment and resilience in the face of adversity

My treatment methods

EMDR

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a therapy that helps you process and heal from past experiences or trauma by guiding you through specific eye movements or taps while you think about the memory. It's a powerful, calming way to shift how you feel about distressing memories, making them feel less intense and more manageable. In a telehealth session, we can still use these techniques through video or audio, making it super accessible wherever you are.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) helps you understand how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected, and how changing one can improve the others. We work together to identify negative patterns and replace them with healthier, more balanced ways of thinking and coping. In telehealth, we can easily dive into these techniques via video, making it convenient and just as effective from the comfort of your space.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) helps you learn skills to manage intense emotions, improve relationships, and handle stress in a healthier way. It’s about finding balance between accepting things as they are and making changes where needed. In telehealth, we can work through these skills together, so you can build coping strategies from wherever you are.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing is a way of having conversations that helps you explore your feelings and motivations to make positive changes in your life. It’s all about listening without judgment and guiding you to find your own reasons and confidence to take action.
