Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of New Jersey. I graduated with my Masters of Arts in Counselor Education from The College of New Jersey in May 2014. I have experience working with individuals between the ages of 4 years - 65 years of age, with varying presenting problems/concerns, including (but not limited to): depression, anxiety, mood disorders, self-harm, relationship difficulties, couples/family counseling, trauma, ptsd, and life transitions.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session together, we will go through introductions of ourselves and spend some time getting to know one another. We will discuss your goals for counseling and create a plan for what future sessions will look like.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I believe that my greatest strengths as a counselor are that I am honest, transparent, genuine, and caring. I develop strong therapeutic relationships with each of my clients and am very invested in their progress and well-being. I believe that by being authentic and honest with my clients, I am able to create a safe space that allows for the vulnerability and trust necessary for my clients to meet their goals.

My treatment methods

Eclectic

My approach to counseling is eclectic in the treatment modalities, theoretical frameworks, and techniques are adapted to fit the individual needs of each client. The frameworks that I utilize the most include: cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered, solution-focused, narrative, interpersonal therapy, and a strengths-based approach.

Couples Counseling

I offer couples counseling for those that are looking to improve their relationship, as well as individual counseling.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

My counseling approach takes into account each individual's unique identity and is culturally sensitive to ensure that treatment is considering each part of a person's identity.
