Welcome! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and Perinatal Mental Health Certified (PMH-C) clinician. Through my practice, you will find compassionate support as you navigate the challenges of infertility, pregnancy and new parenthood. I firmly believe that each individual is unique, and that treatment should reflect this uniqueness. As such, I will work with you to achieve your desired goals in a manner that respects your personal values. My specialties also include loss & grief, TFMR, medically fragile pregnancies, and health issues related to PCOS and Endometriosis.
The concept of counseling can be intimidating for many. As a believer in the healing that can be achieved through a healthy counseling relationship, my approach is welcoming and non-judgmental. Ideally, you will be able to feel comfortable enough in the first session to begin sharing the issues you are facing. The first session is often a review of the current situation as well as a brief exploration of relevant background history. By the end of your first session we will have identified your goals for our time together and begin preparing for subsequent sessions.
Finding a counselor who understands what you are going through can be a daunting task, and can increase a sense of isolation. When I began building my practice, I realized I had the opportunity to provide what I had been unable to find: expertise in reproductive counseling and maternal mental health. Support, guidance and counseling for all points on the reproductive journey is essential as we build our "village". I have dedicated my practice to this endeavor. I truly believe in the power of therapy to guide individuals through difficult times, and I am committed to helping my clients navigate these specific areas with compassion and expertise while providing a safe and supportive space.
It is my goal to empower, educate and uplift those who are navigating one of life's most challenging issues: growing a healthy family. I offer services for those struggling with infertility and related treatments, high-risk pregnancy, anxiety, loss and grief, and maternal mental health. If you are struggling at any point in your reproductive journey, I can help.
My approach is Integrative in nature, meaning that instead of applying a "one size fits all" approach, I will pull from a number of clinical theories as we work together. I also appreciate collaboration! I will check in with you about what is working and what is not working, then adjust accordingly.
